Sage have released Service pack 4 for Sage Instant Accounts 2015 and Sage 50 Accounts 2015
This update is a legislative and security update for Sage 50 and Sage Instant Accounts. Some users are experiencing problems when clicking on Install Now from within the software. The update isn’t loading but they still can’t get back into the software , and a window comes up saying No Updates were Installed.
Excel Open on Install
If you accidentally leave excel open when you run the update then you may get the following error message :
Should this happen you need to re boot your machine before installing the update as described below as this file will be locked open and the update will not run correctly.
Fixing the problem
If this happens on your machine then browse to www.sage.co.uk/au and select your appropriate software and current version number ( this would be 18.104.22.168 if you have installed all previous updates) and download Service Pack 4 manually. If you have an earlier version number you may have multiple updates to download and install.
Please ensure you read all the warnings before installing the updates. Excel and all Sage Software should be shut down before installing updates. Also if your data is held on a server which has no installation of Sage there is an additional Data Service Service Pack 2 which also needs to be installed first on the server before Service Pack 4
When you install the update the following message may appear.

If this happens do not close the installation, allow it to run as this is perfectly normal. It just needs more time!
Once you have run the updates on all the machines where you have Sage 50 installed, including any remote machines linking through the Sage Drive, you should be on version no 22.214.171.124. Installed Updates shown in the Help-> About information screen are SDO Update, Update 1, Update 3, Update 4 , Service Pack 3 and Service Pack 4.
